Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with primary-aged pupils with SEN and SEMH across Weston-super-Mare. You will provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children access learning and build confidence in the classroom.

Collaboration with teachers and school staff is key, with a focus on safeguarding, inclusion and adapting support to meet individual needs. The role offers competitive daily rates (£93–£115) and flexible opportunities to suit your

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience with SEN or SEMH needs is beneficial.
  • Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
  • Patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Confident supporting children with behavioural and emotional needs.

Location: Weston-super-Mare

Rate of Pay: £93–£115 per day

Start Date: Immediately – Ongoing

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning? Connex Education is recruiting a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with primary-aged pupils with SEN / Special Educational Needs and SEMH / Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across schools in Weston-super-Mare.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, empathetic, and confident supporting children with a range of additional needs. You will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide tailored support, helping pupils build confidence, develop positive relationships, and engage with their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to primary-aged pupils.
