Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced English Teacher with SEN and SEMH expertise to join an SEN school in Epping/Harlow. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons for pupils aged 11–18, adapting content to diverse needs and building a calm, supportive classroom environment.

Collaborate with SEN staff and therapists, monitor progress, and contribute to a positive behavior framework. Immediate interviews available for a long-term, potential permanent appointment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• PGCE or equivalent teacher training
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach and team collaboration

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping/Harlow.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• PGCE or Equivalent training
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)
• Strong classroom management
• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
