Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced English Teacher with SEN and SEMH expertise to join a dedicated SEN school serving pupils aged 11-18 in the Epping/Harlow area. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapt the curriculum to diverse needs and create a safe, supportive learning environment.This is a long-term role with potential to become permanent.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SEN team and therapists to monitor progress, manage behaviour and drive

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• PGCE or equivalent training.
• Experience in SEN education, preferably secondary.
• Strong classroom management and resilience.
• Patient, adaptable, and collaborative in a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Teach pupils ages 11-18 with SEN/SEMH needs.

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping/Harlow.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:
