Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced SEN English Teacher for a specialist SEN school in Epping. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs and ages 11–18, working with a multidisciplinary team to meet diverse SEN requirements.

The role requires QTS with a PGCE or equivalent, prior SEN experience, and a patient, adaptable approach to support students’ progress in a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• PGCE or equivalent training in education.
• Experience in SEN education, preferably at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and a patient, adaptable approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one).

SEN English Teacher

Job Title: SEN English Teacher

Location: SEN Secondary school - Epping

Job Type: Full-time (5 days a week)

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30pm

Start Date: After October Half Term

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.


• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.


• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.


• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.


• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress


• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.


• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.


• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)


• PGCE or Equivalent training


• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)


• Strong classroom management
