Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a SEN English Teacher in Epping to join an intimate SEN team. You will deliver accessible lessons for pupils aged 11–18 with complex needs and SEMH requirements, in a supportive school environment.

The role requires QTS and PGCE or equivalent, with strong classroom management and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams. Immediate interviews available, with potential for long-term/permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• PGCE or equivalent teacher training is necessary.
• Experience in SEN education, secondary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to learners with SEN/SEMH needs.
• Teach pupils aged 11–18 in an SEN school setting.

Job Title: SEN English Teacher

Location: Epping

Job Type: Full-time (5 days a week)

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30pm

Start Date: After October Half Term

Role Overview:

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

• Teach pupils between the ages of 11-18.

• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.

• Create a safe, structured, comfortable and supportive learning environment.

• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress

• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.

• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.

• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• PGCE or Equivalent training

• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred)

• Strong classroom management

• Patient, resilient, adaptable approach

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
