Ribbons & Reeves are seeking a Primary-trained Teacher to join their specialist ASD/SEN provision in Thurrock. You will teach a small secondary-aged class, using your Primary teaching experience to deliver engaging learning across a broad curriculum.

The role suits a calm, patient educator who enjoys cross-curricular teaching and developing pupils’ communication, independence and social skills, while maintaining high expectations for progress within a supportive SEN environment.

Ribbons & Reeves are working with a specialist SEN setting in Thurrock seeking a dedicated Primary-trained Teacher to join their secondary provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher who is looking to move into specialist education, working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of associated additional needs.
The RoleYou will teach a small secondary-aged class, using your Primary teaching experience to deliver engaging and accessible learning across a broad curriculum.
The school takes a highly individualised approach to education, adapting lessons around pupils' abilities, communication styles and interests. You will be expected to maintain high expectations while making learning accessible and meaningful.
The role is particularly suited to a Primary Teacher who enjoys working across subjects rather than being restricted to a single secondary specialism.
Alongside academic progress, you will support pupils to develop communication, independence, confidence and social skills, helping them prepare for their next stage of education and adulthood.
The PupilsThe school supports pupils with ASD and additional learning needs, with some pupils experiencing anxiety, communication difficulties and barriers to traditional classroom learning.
Strong relationships are central to the role. You'll need to be patient, consistent and able to understand individual behaviour and communication, while providing the structure and boundaries pupils need to succeed.
