Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced primary and secondary school in Essex. You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with communication, behaviour regulation, and follow EHCP targets to support pupil wellbeing and progress.

The role is full-time, long-term with potential permanent placement, offering ongoing support from a dedicated consultant and the chance to make a lasting impact on pupils with complex needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
  • Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
  • Willing to support personal care where needed.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?


We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Essex that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school where pupil wellbeing, personalised support and long-term development are at the heart of everything they do.

The Role
