Job summary

KLA Corporation’s SPTS division in Newport is seeking a Test Engineer to join a team that tests modular semiconductor equipment and fully integrated systems, ensuring quality across single-wafer products.

You will install, test, and record data, troubleshoot defects in real time, and collaborate with Product Groups on new products. A background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and hands-on manufacturing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of HNC / HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience as Test Engineer or similar; familiarity with electromechanical products.
• Shift work in rotating schedule; Monday-Friday 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm; shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Install modular semiconductor equipment or fully integrated systems.
• Test live equipment to set specifications (3 phase, single phase, pneumatic and fluid power).
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding down to component level.
• Record test data on Shop Floor Online software.
• Occasionally support Product Groups in the development of new products.
