Job summary

KLA is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer within the SPTS Engineering division to advance our semiconductor process systems integration. You will contribute to the design, testing, and validation of ETCH equipment, wiring harnesses, and prototypes while supporting production handoffs and commissioning at customer sites.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safety compliance, reliability, and performance targets across multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, testing, and delivering electrical solutions.
• Understanding of machinery safety regulations and EN60204/EN13849 is desirable.
• Customer-facing role experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETCH semiconductor process equipment.
• Wiring harness and electrical design, some mechanical design.
• Lead or heavily involved in building and testing prototypes.
• Plan and execute hardware testing, validation, and performance characterisation.
• Testing and compliance of machines to international standards.
• Fault finding and optimisation as part of PLC processes.
• Support technology development from concept to installation.
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimise hardware performance.
