Job summary

KLA Newport in South Wales is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to ensure products meet customer and internal requirements across incoming, in-process and outgoing stages. You will perform inspections, verify documentation, and support containment and corrective actions in a precision manufacturing setting.

Working with microscopes and metrology tools, you will interpret engineering drawings, follow strict SOPs, and uphold cleanliness and traceability standards while contributing to

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control within electronics manufacturing.
• Able to interpret drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• Experience with visual, dimensional and final product inspections.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge non-conforming work.
• Proficient with MS Office and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of ESD, cleanroom practices and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience using microscopes or metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Incoming Quality Control: Inspect materials, substrates, components and supplier documentation against specs.
• In-Process QC: Perform quality checks across production lines and ensure SOPs are current.
• Outgoing QC: Conduct final inspection and verify labeling and traceability before release.
• Non-Conformance & Improvement: Raise NCRs and support containment, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
