Job summary

KLA is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join the SPTS Engineering division. You will be part of the Equipment Engineering and Development Group, delivering automation solutions for integration of SPTS process systems in semiconductor factories worldwide.

You will gain hands-on experience across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, building expertise in operation, integration, calibration, and diagnostics while working to tight deadlines in a regulated industry.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, testing, and delivering electrical solutions.
• Experience of fault diagnosis RF and/or plasma is desired.
• An understanding of Machinery safety regulations and EN60204/EN13849 is desirable.
• AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent experience; 3D CAD experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement semiconductor process equipment.
• Wiring harness and electrical design, some mechanical design.
• Leading or heavily involved in building and testing prototypes.
• Plan and execute hardware testing, validation, and performance characterization.
• Testing and compliance of machines to international standards.
• Fault finding and optimization as part of the PLC process.
• Support technology development from early concept through installation at customer sites.
• Work with process engineers to optimize hardware performance for reliability and process capability.
• Technical report writing.
• Support the transition of designs from development to production.
