Are you passionate about education and confident in delivering engaging, practical, and well‑paced sessions? Prospero Teaching are seeking dedicated Tutors and Subject Specialists to support learners who require alternative provision in Burgess Hill.

As a Tutor, you will:
  • Support young people who need between 2–15 hours of tuition per week.
  • Support learners with SEMH needs.
  • Work with multiple learners, offering flexibility for full‑time or part‑time hours.
  • Deliver tailored sessions for learners from EYFS, Primary, Secondary, and Post‑16.
Subjects Needed
  • Core subjects: Maths, English, Science.
  • Other subject specialisms are also welcome (though roles may be less frequent).
About you

  • Cover Supervisors
  • HLTAs
  • Non‑qualified teachers

Essential & Desirable Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people.
  • Experience of working with learners with SEMH needs.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
  • Hold right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide references upon request.
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this).
