Job summary

SEND Recruitment is seeking a nurturing SEMH Tutor to support a learner in Congleton who experiences anxiety, delivering Maths and English tuition on a 1:1 basis. The role focuses on engagement, trust and emotional wellbeing as a foundation for progress.

You will tailor lessons to the learner’s emotional state, maintain a calm learning environment and collaborate with the broader support team to monitor progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs and/or anxiety.
• Empathetic and emotionally intelligent.
• Confident delivering Maths and English at the appropriate level.
• Able to build trust with learners who may feel anxious or disengaged from education.

Specialist SEND Group is looking for a nurturing and experienced tutor to support a young person in Congleton who is experiencing anxiety and requires a tailored, supportive approach to education.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who understands that engagement, trust and emotional wellbeing come before academic progress. The successful tutor will work on a 1:1 basis, helping the learner rebuild confidence in education while continuing to develop their core skills in Maths and English.
