Job summary

SEND Recruitment is seeking an experienced Tutor to work with young people in Poynton, delivering Maths and/or English with SEND/SEMH learners in flexible, life-changing education. You will teach 1:1 in public settings or at the learner's home, focusing on building confidence, skills and motivation.

Applicants should have QTS, experience with SEMH, and a calm, relationship‑focused approach to support progression and positive change.

Responsibilities

• Deliver set hours of face-to-face tuition per week.
• Receive an additional 1 hour of paid planning and administration time each week.
• Plan personalised learning for young people with SEND/SEMH.
• Track progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively to share best practice and raise standards.
• Support learner engagement, confidence, and progression.
