Job summary

SEND Recruitment is seeking a SEND Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged learners with SEND/SEMH needs in Macclesfield, United Kingdom. Sessions are delivered outside mainstream classroom settings to help students stay engaged and progress.

You will build trusting relationships, tailor learning programmes, monitor progress and collaborate with families and professionals. QTS/QTLS or equivalent is required, along with patience and adaptability.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with secondary-aged learners.
  • Proven experience supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning programmes.
  • A patient, flexible and empathetic approach.

We are looking for experienced and compassionate SEND Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged learners who require additional support outside of a traditional classroom setting.

The Role

As a SEND Tutor, you will work closely with learners on a one-to-one basis, delivering personalised educational programmes that meet their individual needs, abilities and learning styles. Many of our learners have SEND and SEMH needs and may be disengaged from mainstream education, so your ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence is essential.
