Job summary

Specialist SEND Group is seeking a qualified SEMH Tutor to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition for secondary learners with SEND/SEMH needs in Macclesfield. The role focuses on personalised programmes, building confidence and resilience while maintaining strong relationships with learners and families.

Successful candidates will have QTS/QTLS or equivalent, experience with secondary learners, and a patient, empathetic, flexible approach.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.
• Experience teaching secondary-aged learners.
• Experience supporting SEND/SEMH learners.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver personalised learning programmes.

SEMH Tutor

We are looking for experienced and compassionate SEND Tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged learners who require additional support outside of a traditional classroom setting.

The Role

As a SEND Tutor, you will work closely with learners on a one-to-one basis, delivering personalised educational programmes that meet their individual needs, abilities and learning styles. Many of our learners have SEND and SEMH needs and may be disengaged from mainstream education, so your ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence is essential.
