TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Surrey. This role offers an immediate start and a chance to provide effective classroom support, assisting pupils in 1:1 or small groups to engage with learning and manage behaviour.

You should be patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships, with strong communication and safeguarding in mind. An Enhanced DBS via Update Service is preferred or a willingness to obtain one; competitive daily rates

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Confidence supporting pupils with SEMH
• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 or small-group basis
• Help with learning, behaviour, emotional regulation and general classroom activities
