Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a confident Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH school in Surrey. You will support pupils in classrooms, one-to-one, and small groups, focusing on learning, behaviour management, and emotional regulation.

The role offers competitive daily pay (£90-£120) and long-term opportunities, with a dedicated consultant and access to CPD. Prior SEMH or school-based experience is advantageous, and an Enhanced DBS is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people.
• SEMH and challenging behaviour experience preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective classroom support.
• Assist pupils in 1:1 and small-group settings.
• Support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation in a safe, structured environment.
