Hazel Tree Education Recruitment is supporting an alternative provision near Birkenhead by recruiting three enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for full-time roles, 8:30-16:00, starting in September. The positions may become permanent and involve working with learners who previously struggled in mainstream education.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children professionally in education, youth work, coaching or residential settings.
• Experience of supporting young people with SEND/SEMH.
• Resilient, proactive with a can-do attitude.
• Experience in an alternative provision (AP) or PRU previously.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs in day-to-day classroom activities.
• Assist with behavioural and social-emotional support as part of the learning process.
• Contribute to a positive and safe learning environment and safeguarding practices.
