Job summary

Nurseplus is seeking a compassionate Children & Young Peoples Support Worker to assist children and young people aged 5-25 across Herefordshire. The role involves personal care, supporting with daily activities and promoting independent living, within a supportive, safeguarding-focused environment.

The successful candidate will have UK healthcare experience, a driving licence with access to their own car, and the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK healthcare sector.
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, learning disabilities, autism, neurodiversity or SEMH needs is mandatory.
• Previous experience providing personal care, including toileting, continence care and nappy/continence pad changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centred support to children and young people with additional needs, neurodiversity and SEMH needs.
• Provide personal care and intimate care as required.
• Assist with washing, dressing and other personal hygiene needs while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people and mentor their development.
• Support engagement in educational, recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Provide emotional support, guidance and reassurance.
