Job summary

Nurseplus is seeking a Children & Young People’s Support Worker to assist children aged 5-25 across Worcestershire. The role includes providing compassionate support, accidental care when required, and helping young people engage in learning and activities.

A driver with own car and 6 months UK healthcare experience are required. Shifts offer flexible hours, weekly pay, comprehensive training aligned with Care Certificate and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own car.
• Minimum of 6 months UK healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centred support to children and young people with additional needs and SEMH needs.
• Provide personal care and intimate care as required (toileting, continence care, nappies).
• Support with washing, dressing and personal hygiene while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Build positive, trusting relationships and mentor young people to develop confidence and life skills.
• Assist engagement in educational, recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, families and other professionals.
