Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking flexible day-to-day SEMH support staff to work across SEND and SEMH schools in Stoke-on-Trent. You will provide day-to-day support to pupils, build trusting relationships, and help with learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation.

Ideal candidates are graduates or professionals with transferable skills in care, youth work, or support roles. DBS updates and two references are typically required, with ongoing support from Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people, vulnerable individuals, or transferable skills relevant to the role.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Willingness to obtain or hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
• Right to work in the UK.

Teaching Personnel is working with a range of specialist SEND and SEMH schools across Stoke-on-Trent that are looking for caring, reliable, and resilient support staff to work on a flexible day-to-day basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain valuable experience working with children and young people, as well as experienced care workers, support workers, youth workers, or similar professionals looking to transfer their skills into education.

You do not need previous school experience if you have strong transferable skills and the right attitude.

The Role
