Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teacher for an alternative provision in the ST6 area of Stoke-on-Trent to start in September. You will teach mixed-age groups, adapt lessons to individual needs, and manage challenging behaviour to help pupils re-engage with education.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Start Date: September

Salary: £170 - £220 per day

Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with experience supporting pupils with SEMH and EBD?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision in the ST6 area of Stoke-on-Trent, supporting pupils of mixed ages with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The provision focuses on providing a structured and supportive learning environment for pupils who require an alternative approach to mainstream education.

The provision is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teacher will teach pupils across mixed age groups, adapting lessons to individual needs, managing challenging behaviour effectively and helping pupils to re-engage positively with their education.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching children and young people with SEND
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and EBD
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of individual needs
• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
