Job summary

Charlton Wood Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Partner to support children with SEMH needs across the school, delivering evidence-informed interventions and contributing to a safe, inclusive environment aligned with our values.

You will work under the Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral) and teachers, assisting with behaviour regulation and whole-school pastoral provision, including a pastoral breakfast club.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting.
• Empathy, patience, resilience and strong relationship-building skills.
• High expectations of all children and themselves.
• Committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SEMH interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Support children to regulate emotions and manage behaviour successfully.
• Lead and support our pastoral breakfast club.
• Meet and greet children at the start of the school day.
• Support pupils throughout lessons, breaktimes and lunchtimes.
• Use trauma-informed and evidence-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Work 1:1 with pupils who require additional SEMH support to access learning.
