Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) Specialist Teaching Assistant on behalf of a primary school in Hounslow, a supportive and inclusive primary school committed to ensuring every child is given the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally.

The school is seeking a dedicated and resilient individual to support pupils experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will play a vital role in helping children build confidence, develop positive relationships and access learning successfully within the classroom environment.

This role would suit someone with previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, anxiety, Autism or ADHD.

A typical day will involve providing 1:1 and small group support, implementing emotional regulation strategies, promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

Pupils may present with:

• Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• ADHD
• Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
• Behaviour that can challenge
• Additional learning needs
