Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Salford. This full-time role involves supporting pupils with SEMH needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning, both academically and socially.

You will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to develop positive behaviours, monitor progress and contribute to a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in education, youth work, coaching, mentoring, care, or support work is desirable but not essential.

Behaviour Support Assistant

SEMH Secondary School | Salford Full-Time | Immediate Start Available | Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Salford. This rewarding full-time role involves supporting pupils with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including anxiety, attachment difficulties, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, challenging behaviour, and difficulties managing emotions within an educational setting.

Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff, you will help students overcome barriers to learning, develop positive behaviours, and achieve their potential both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
