Job summary

Revolve Collective Limited is seeking an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor in Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent. The role focuses on young people with SEMH needs, providing 1:1 and small-group support to help them engage with education.

You will work closely with teachers and the pastoral team to manage challenging behaviour, support emotional regulation, and create a calm learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, SEMH or additional needs.
• Calm, resilient, and confident in challenging situations.
• Strong ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, consistent relationships with young people.
• Support pupils with SEMH, behavioural and emotional needs.
• Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Encourage engagement with learning and classroom activities.
• Act as a positive role model and trusted adult.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour strategies.
• Work alongside teachers and the wider pastoral team.
• Help create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage resilience, independence and positive choices.
