Job summary

Academics Ltd is seeking resilient Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with SEMH needs across our partner schools in Sheffield. You will help children regulate their emotions, stay focused, and re-engage with lessons, creating a calm, encouraging environment that promotes positive behaviours and learning momentum.

You will work closely with teachers and SEND teams, follow school policies, and adapt activities to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour in school, care, or youth work settings.
• TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Eligibility to work in the UK with strong references.
• A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH needs across partner schools in Sheffield.
• Help children regulate emotions, re-engage with learning, and build confidence.
• Work with teachers to implement behaviour strategies and KS targets.
