Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Graduate Learning Support Mentor to support SEMH students in Trafford. The role focuses on helping pupils re-engage with learning and build confidence through 1:1 and small-group support, while promoting wellbeing and resilience.

You will work closely with teachers and specialists to deliver mentoring sessions, apply trauma-informed strategies, and foster positive relationships in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with passion for supporting SEMH students.
• Strong interpersonal skills and resilience in challenging situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic and emotional support throughout the day.
• Support students to re-engage with learning and develop social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams and external agencies to plan and deliver mentoring sessions.
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing using trauma-informed approaches.
