Zusammenfassung

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting passionate and resilient SEMH Learning Mentors to support pupils across specialist and mainstream schools in Wigan and Bolton.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their potential. You will work with teachers, pastoral teams and SEN staff to support pupils inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in roles such as Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Support Worker or similar.
• Committed to helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning.
• Willingness to work in both specialist and mainstream settings.

Aufgaben

• Providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring support
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and wellbeing
• Helping pupils manage barriers to learning
• Supporting positive behaviour and engagement
• Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and SEN staff
• Supporting pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
