Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Behaviour Support Officer for a specialist SEMH primary school in Lichfield. This role is full-time and long-term with immediate start.

You will provide 1:1 and small group mentoring, support learning and behaviour both in and outside the classroom, and develop individual behaviour support plans to improve pupil outcomes. The ideal candidate will have SEMH experience, ability to deliver interventions, and a resilient, consistent approach to building relationships

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
• Experience providing behaviour support in education.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Knowledge of positive behaviour and self-regulation strategies.
• Ability to monitor, record and contribute to the analysis of behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils.
• Support learning and behaviour in and outside the classroom.
• Develop individual behaviour support plans.
• Work with senior leaders, families and external agencies to improve outcomes for pupils.
