Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting for a Specialist Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support a mainstream primary school in Newham, East London. The role focuses on 1:1 SEMH support and helps pupils grow in resilience and emotional regulation.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEMH or challenging behaviour, strong teamwork and communication skills, and a willingness to undertake targeted behaviour support training. Immediate start and full-time hours offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undertake training in behaviour support techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
• Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Support pupils in class, during interventions and in less structured parts of the school day
• Work alongside teachers, parents and professionals to ensure consistent support
• Promote resilience, confidence and positive relationships for pupils
