Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Behaviour Support Officer for a specialist SEMH primary school in Lichfield. The role is full-time and long-term with an immediate start, delivering 1:1 and small group mentoring, supporting learning and behaviour in and outside the classroom.

You will develop individual behaviour support plans and collaborate with senior leaders, staff, families and external agencies to improve pupil outcomes. Salary is £100–£130 per day and PAYE arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
• Experience providing behaviour support within a school or similar environment.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small group mentoring and interventions.
• Strong knowledge of positive behaviour and self-regulation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils.
• Support learning and behaviour in and outside the classroom.
• Develop individual behaviour support plans for pupils.
