Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join the Primary Behaviour Service in Basingstoke. You will support students with SEMH needs, delivering targeted interventions and working in partnership with schools, families and professionals to promote inclusion and wellbeing.

You will contribute to effective support plans, deliver de-escalation techniques, and help evaluate outcomes while expanding provision into Key Stage 3 settings and participating in workforce

Qualifications

• Experience in secondary schools with children and families, ideally SEMH.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interventions to help children overcome barriers to learning and participation.
• Provide practical, pastoral and behavioural support using de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with schools, families and partner agencies to develop support plans.
• Model and share best practices; contribute to training and workforce development.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews evaluating impact.
