Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEMH primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Behaviour Support Officer for a full-time, long-term placement with an immediate start. You will provide 1:1 and small group mentoring, support learning and behaviour in and outside the classroom, and contribute to individual behaviour support plans.

The role requires experience supporting children with SEMH, delivering behaviour support in education, and a resilient, positive approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Experience providing behaviour support within an education setting.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small group interventions and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils.
• Support learning and behaviour inside and outside the classroom.
• Develop individual behaviour support plans in collaboration with senior staff.
