Job summary

Ward Security in Central London is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to safeguard a prominent facility. You will oversee a large security team, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of service.

The role requires an SIA licence, strong communication, and a customer-facing approach. It offers 4 on 4 off shifts (days and nights) totaling 42 hours per week, with progression and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven min 1 year as Security Supervisor
• Strong leadership and supervision skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• IT literate and able to operate security tech

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring tasks are completed
• Report issues to the manager and coordinate with events
• Provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as a deterrent
• Act as point of contact for staff and visitors
• Respond to emergencies and manage conflicts
• Write up incidents to management standards
• Carry out ID checks and monitor health and safety risks
• Communicate effectively at all levels—verbal, written, phone, radios
• Work well in a team or on own initiative

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Security Supervisor to safeguard a prominent facility in London. The successful applicant will have a background in Security Supervision, supervising a large corporate building situated in Central London

Position: Security Supervisor

Pay rate: £18.83 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days and Nights - 42 Hours Per Week

Location: Central London WC2H 8AG

Main duties:

• • Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion
  • Report any issues to the manager
  • Ensure night and weekend security team are aware of any events taking place
  • To provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets.
  • To provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner if required
  • Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management
  • Carry out ID checks
  • Be vigilant to the Health and Safety risks
  • Excellent communication skills to all levels – verbally, written, phone and by security radio’s
  • Can work effectively as part of a team or can work on own initiative
  • A positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges

Must Have:

• • Valid SIA licence
  • Proven work experience as a Security Supervisor - min 1 year
  • Robust leadership and supervision skills, adept at inspiring and efficiently managing teams.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
  • Profound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to analyse intricate security issues and devise effective solutions.
