Job summary

ISS is seeking a confident Security Supervisor to join on a brand-new contract at the National College of Policing in Coventry. You will lead a 24/7 security team and act as the primary point of contact for the customer, establishing structure and high standards of service.

The role focuses on supervising six Security Officers, implementing site procedures, conducting inductions and training, and driving health and safety initiatives while maintaining SC clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in the security industry.
• Experience managing or supervising a team.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to challenge behaviours and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A proactive and organised approach to problem-solving.
• The ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
• Experience with CCTV and ANPR systems would be advantageous.
• An ex-police background would be beneficial but is not essential.

• Champion health and safety initiatives, including Near Hit reporting and toolbox talks.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Previous experience within the security industry.

Experience managing or supervising a team.

Strong leadership skills with the confidence to challenge behaviours and drive improvements.

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

A proactive and organised approach to problem-solving.

The ability to manage long-serving employees and implement change effectively.

Experience working with CCTV and ANPR systems would be advantageous.

An ex-police background would be beneficial but is not essential.

The ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
