Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking an experienced Security Officer for our CEVA Logistics contract based at Upper Heyford. You will conduct patrols, control access, monitor activity and deliver high-standard customer service to staff, visitors and contractors.

You must hold a valid SIA frontline Licence (DS or SG) and have a reliable, professional approach. The role follows a 4 on/4 off shift pattern (7:00–19:00) with an average of 42 hours per week and a pay of £13.86 per hour.

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Security Officer to join our established security team on our prestigious contract with CEVA Logistics, a national logistics company based in Upper Heyford.

The site is a busy logistics environment, and you will play a key role in maintaining safety, security, and smooth daily operations. As Security Officer, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, controlling access, monitoring site activity, and delivering a high standard of customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive team, helping to create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across the site.

The successful candidate must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence as a minimum.

Duties include:

• Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures
  
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures
  
• Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
  
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  
• Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
  
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  
• Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
  
• Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
  
• Maintaining professional conduct at all times
  

Requirements

• Full 5-year employment checkable history
  
• Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG
  
• Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
  
• Flexible to meet the job requirements
  
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  
• Smart appearance and be well-groomed
  
• Reliable and punctual
  
• High level of enthusiasm and passion
  
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
