Job summary

Anchor Group Services, Derby, is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team on the CEVA Logistics contract. You will conduct regular patrols, manage access, monitor site activity and provide a high standard of customer service to employees, visitors and contractors.

The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) licence, have a full 5-year employment history, and be able to work Monday to Friday, 10:00-18:00.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work in a fast-moving environment.

Job Role: Security Officer

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00-18:00 - 40 hours per week

Pay: £13.74 per hour

Reporting to: Regional Supervisor & Operations Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Security Officer to join our established security team on our prestigious contract with CEVA Logistics, based in Derby.

The site is a busy logistics environment, and you will play a key role in maintaining safety, security, and smooth daily operations. As Security Officer, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, controlling access, monitoring site activity, and delivering a high standard of customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. T he successful candidate must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence as a minimum.

Duties include:

• Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures
  
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures
  
• Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
  
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  
• Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
  
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  
• Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
  
• Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
  
• Maintaining professional conduct at all times.
  

Requirements

• Full 5-year employment checkable history
  
• Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG
  
• Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
  
• Flexible to meet the job requirements
  
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
