Job summary

Wilson James in Uxbridge is seeking a Security Officer for days-only shifts on a permanent basis. You will provide a highly visible security presence, assist visitors and staff, manage access control, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

A neat appearance and excellent customer service are essential. Ideal candidates will deliver reports clearly, work well under pressure, and contribute to a proactive security culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• Operate internal/external security patrols and be familiar with site layout, building and processes.
• Meet and greet visitors and staff, advise and direct during sign in/out.
• Be conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement procedures.
• Protect premises, property and personnel from theft, damage and violence; investigate unusual conditions.
• Play an integral role in emergencies including evacuation and first aid incidents.

As a Security officer you will bring excellent customer service, have a super smart personal presentation and entrusted to protect premises ensuring a safe working environment for visitors, staff and contractors. You are required to have a highly visible presence in a fantastic working culture and prevent any illegal or inappropriate activities that might arise. In addition to playing an active role in incident response your goal will be to detect, deter, protect in a professional and confident manner.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide a highly visible proactive security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• To operate internal / external security patrols on a regular basis ensuring familiarity of site layout, building and processes.
• Meet and greet visitors, staff in a professional and polite manner, advise and direct and support reception staff during sign in/out process.
• Be fully conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement, to a place of safety procedures at the location.
• Protect the premises, property and personnel from theft, damage and violence; investigating unusual conditions and ensure building is securely locked
• To play an integral role in any emergency including evacuation, dealing with antisocial behaviour, first aid incidents (or assistance to trained first-aiders)
