Wilson James in Aberdeen is seeking a dedicated Security Officer on a permanent basis. You will monitor premises, conduct patrols, respond to incidents and uphold security protocols.

The role operates on annualised hours with shift patterns from 18:00 to 07:00 and weekends, paying £13.45 per hour. We value vigilant, detail-oriented professionals who can communicate clearly, report incidents concisely, and work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and information to staff, visitors and contractors
• Gatehouse duties - meet and greet staff, visitors and contractors in a professional manner
• Prevent unauthorised access to the site
• Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV
• Conduct external and internal security patrols
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Record and report faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices

About the Role:

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors.
• Gatehouse duties - meet and greet staff, visitors and contractors in a professional manner
• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to the site.
• Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Record and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices.

• Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
• Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
• Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance to ensure team effectiveness and availability
• Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
