Job summary

Anchor Group Services is seeking an experienced Security Officer for a busy CEVA Logistics contract in Upper Heyford. The role covers patrols, access control and customer service across a fast-paced logistics site.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA DS or SG license, have strong communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach. Hours are 4 on/4 off (days 07:00–19:00) with a 42-hour week and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Full 5-year, employment history must be verifiable.
• Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols and control access.
• Monitor site activity and deliver high standard of customer service to employees, visitors and contractors.
• Record observations and incidents accurately in reports.
• Maintain safety, security and smooth daily operations on site.

Job Role: Security Officer

Working Hours:4 on 4 off shift pattern, days (7:00-19:00) - average 42 hours per week

Pay: £13.86 per hour

Reporting to: Regional Supervisors / Operations Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Security Officer to join our established security team on our prestigious contract with CEVA Logistics, a national logistics company based in Upper Heyford.

The site is a busy logistics environment, and you will play a key role in maintaining safety, security, and smooth daily operations. As Security Officer, you will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, controlling access, monitoring site activity, and delivering a high standard of customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive team, helping to create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across the site.

T he successful candidate must have a valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) Licence as a minimum.

Duties include:

• Protecting the client’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and site-specific procedures
  
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policy and procedures
  
• Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
  
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  
• Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
  
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  
• Acting as a first line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
  
• Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
  
• Maintaining professional conduct at all times
  

Requirements

• Full 5-year employment checkable history
  
• Valid frontline SIA licence DS or SG
  
• Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
  
• Flexible to meet the job requirements
  
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
