Job summary

Wilson James is hiring a Security Officer for a Leicester site. The role involves patrolling the premises, monitoring access controls, alarms, and responding to security incidents while delivering strong customer service.

Ideal candidates will hold an SIA Licence and bring knowledge of security operations and IT systems, plus a proactive, helpful attitude.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor/ Security Guard).
• Knowledge of security operations and IT systems relevant to a site.
• Positive attitude with customer service experience; team player.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and external patrols to keep the site safe.
• Check entry passes, monitor alarms and control access points.
• Investigate suspicious activity and respond to security incidents as needed.
• Engage with staff and visitors with a customer-focused approach.

Pay: £13.65 per hour

We are looking for a Security Officer to join us at one of our newest clients based in Leicester, a global leader in convenient foods and beverages. As a Security Officer you are an integral part of the team and you can make an impact with your skills to protect, deter and respond to any security matters, whilst providing an exceptional customer service experience.

About the Role:

As a Security Officer you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the building is safe and protected by carrying out both internal and external patrols, actively preventing any security concerns.


• Checking, and verifying entry passes, monitoring of alarm systems, access control and investigating any suspicious activity or behaviour.


• Interaction with customers, meeting and greeting both staff and visitors; listening to requests, taking an interest in what they have to say, show empathy, and be prepared to answer questions and follow up where you feel you might be able to help. It's about going that extra mile to show people we care.
