Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer - Remote (UK) - Permanent, London (West End)

Hawksworth is seeking a Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer for a global law firm.

The position is remote within the UK, with infrequent travel to Belfast or London for meetups or important face-to-face meetings. Salary will be discussed with the candidate based on experience, skills, and availability.

Job Description:

The Security Data Loss Prevention Engineer will monitor the effectiveness of current tools, implement improvement programs, and manage capacity and tool maintenance. The role involves working with a global team and business owners to ensure alignment with technical standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Computer Science degree or equivalent
• Experience with enterprise DLP technologies, including Microsoft Purview, M365, and Proofpoint
• Hands-on experience in writing policies for Data Classification and Protection, with knowledge of data classification methodologies and compliance frameworks
• Understanding of security DLP best practices and regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA
• Experienced with M365
• Certifications such as Microsoft SC-400, AZ-500, MS-900, or CISSP are preferred
