Job summary

Kier is seeking a Section Engineer for the United Utilities Framework in the North West of England. You will oversee technical delivery, interpret drawings, and ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards, while collaborating with project managers and site teams to keep work on schedule and to high quality.

This role emphasizes site leadership, progress monitoring, and rigorous documentation, with a focus on safety and regulatory adherence across projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of consents, logistics and traffic management.
• Awareness of commercial processes.
• Experience in people and project management.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our United Utilities Framework based in North West of England.

Location: North West of England
Hours: 45 per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Section Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the technical compliance of projects. You'll work collaboratively with project teams to deliver work safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, all whilst interpreting design specifications and maintaining adherence to industry regulations.

What will you be responsible for?

• Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
• Monitoring site progress through inspections and quality checks
• Identifying and resolving technical issues in collaboration with project managers and site teams
• Maintaining accurate site records, including progress reports and quality documentation
