Job summary

Kier is seeking a Section Engineer for the United Utilities Framework, based in the North West of England. You will ensure technical compliance, interpret design specifications, and collaborate with project teams to deliver work safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

You will review drawings, monitor site progress through inspections and quality checks, and resolve technical issues with project managers and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Understanding of consents, logistics and traffic management.
• Awareness of commercial processes.
• Experience in people and project management.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing technical delivery and ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Monitoring site progress through inspections and quality checks.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues in collaboration with project managers and site teams.
• Maintaining accurate site records, including progress reports and quality documentation.

Hours: 45 per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Section Engineer, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the technical compliance of projects. You'll work collaboratively with project teams to deliver work safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards, all whilst interpreting design specifications and maintaining adherence to industry regulations.

What will you be responsible for?
