  • Coordinating mechanical and electrical work packages including pumps, valves, pipework, MCCs, LV distribution, drives, instrumentation, actuated valves, telemetry, and PLC/SCADA interfaces
  • Reviewing design information, specifications, drawings, schedules, and supplier documentation to confirm buildability, maintainability, and compliance with United Utilities requirements

  • Producing, reviewing and coordinating RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, quality check sheets, FAT/SAT requirements, commissioning packs, and handover records
  • Supporting safe isolation, shutdown, tie-in, and cut-over planning for live water and wastewater assets, ensuring operational continuity and stakeholder readiness
What are we looking for?

This role of Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience delivering mechanical and/or electrical works on capital projects, ideally in the UK water sector, utilities, process, infrastructure or similarly regulated operational environments
  • You have a strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including pumps, valves, pipework, pressure systems, MCCs, LV distribution, drives, instrumentation, actuators, telemetry and control system interfaces
  • You can read, review and coordinate technical drawings, specifications, P&IDs, cable schedules, equipment schedules, and control philosophies
  • You have a good understanding of CDM Regulations, risk assessment, method statements, permits, isolations, and construction phase health and safety requirements
