Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a mainstream Primary School in Alfreton seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with KS1/KS2 experience. The role is long-term from September, assisting teachers and helping pupils reach their potential in a positive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in a primary setting, strong communication and teamwork skills, and an adaptable, proactive approach to meeting individual pupil needs.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers, support pupils with their learning, assist with classroom activities and help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Relevant experience working with children in a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2
• A good understanding of the role and expectations of a Teaching Assistant
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and proactive approach
• The ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
