Job summary

Reed in East Sussex is seeking passionate Secondary School Teachers to join our partner schools on a permanent, full-time basis. You will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across Key Stages 3–5, while maintaining high standards of classroom management.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a relevant degree, and a solid understanding of the UK national curriculum. You will contribute to curriculum development, report progress, and work with parents to support student growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Right to work in the UK.
• A degree in a relevant subject area.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that engage students across Key Stages 3–5.
• Assess, record, and report on student development and attainment.
• Maintain discipline through effective classroom management.
• Contribute to curriculum development and participate in curriculum activities.
• Provide feedback to parents and guardians at meetings.
• Stay up to date with curriculum changes and developments.
• Act as a mentor to students, supporting academic and personal growth.
