Overview

Axcis Education is supporting a well-regarded Alternative Provision in Torbay and we are looking for a passionate full-time SEND Teacher to start in January 2026. This role delivers subjects at the primary level across the curriculum in a nurturing, inclusive environment with the potential to become full-time and permanent.

About the Role
  • Start date: January 2026Days: Monday to Friday (Full Time)
  • Location: Torbay, Devon
  • Setting: Alternative Provision supporting students with SEMH and ADHD
  • Salary: Daily equivalent on the Main Pay Scale for Qualified and Unqualified Teachers
  • Potential: Long‑term opportunity with possible full‑time permanent placement
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ADHD
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students
  • Confidence in managing behaviour and delivering learning in a creative, flexible way
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience as a Cover Supervisor in a similar environment is highly desirable
